You're Recieved
From Today’s One Year Bible Reading Plan at BibleInAYearOnline.com
Long ago the Lord said to Israel: I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself. - Jeremiah 31:3 (NLT)
Rejection stings. It doesn’t matter how old you are or how strong your faith is, it still hits the heart. I remember a moment not long ago when my daughter and I were out putting up concert posters. We stepped into a new business and I politely introduced myself, asking the owner if we could hang a poster in the window. She looked at me, unsure of what to say, and finally just said, “I really don’t know what to say.” I smiled and tried to make it easier for her. I told her it was okay and wished her a good day. As we stepped back outside, I looked at my daughter and said, “Well, that was a little awkward.” She laughed and agreed.
But we kept going. Our next stop was a local diner where the owner quickly said yes to the poster. As we were about to leave, a man walked up and asked, “Are you Johnny with The Bridge FM?” I said yes and he immediately told me he had been wanting to advertise with us and just never made the call. We exchanged contact info right there. I looked at my daughter and said, “Did you see that? One door closed but the very next one opened wide. God gave us a blessing right after the rejection.”
Rejection will happen. But it is never the end of the story. When someone says no, God still has a yes waiting for you somewhere else. He has already accepted you. You do not need approval from anyone else to live fully and freely in your purpose.
Reflection Question: Have you let rejection hold you back from something God may still be calling you to pursue?
Prayer: Father, thank You for always receiving me with open arms. When rejection comes, help me not to shrink back but to keep walking forward with confidence in Your love. I trust that You open the right doors at the right time. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
