Unshakable

From Today’s One Year Bible Reading Plan at BibleInAYearOnline.com

Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe. - Hebrews 12:28 (NLT)

There is something deeply comforting about knowing that in a world where everything can change so quickly, God’s Kingdom cannot be shaken. Jobs shift. Friendships stretch. Plans fall through. Even the most secure parts of life can feel like sand slipping through our fingers. But when everything around us feels uncertain, this truth anchors us, we belong to a Kingdom that does not move.

The writer of Hebrews was speaking to people who understood hardship. Their faith was tested. Their circumstances were shaky. But they were reminded of a greater reality. God’s Kingdom is solid. His promises hold. His presence stays. And even when life feels loud or chaotic, His truth is still firm under our feet.

Maybe you’ve been feeling the weight of some shaking lately. Maybe things have not gone the way you expected. Or maybe you’ve been standing faithfully, but still feel like the ground is moving beneath you. In all of it, here’s what does not change: You are still held. God is still faithful. And His Kingdom still stands.

Worship keeps our hearts aligned with what is unshakable. It reminds us who we belong to and where our hope really lives. Gratitude is not a way to ignore reality. It is a way to see through it with eyes of faith.

You are not alone in the shaking. But more than that, you are part of something that cannot be shaken at all.

Reflection Question: What has felt unstable in your life lately, and how can you intentionally turn your focus toward the unshakable presence of God?

Prayer: Father, thank You that Your Kingdom stands when everything else feels uncertain. Help me anchor my heart in what is eternal. Teach me to worship You with reverence and joy, even when life feels unsettled. I trust You to hold me steady. In Jesus’ name, amen.
