Trusting God in the Process

Today’s key verse is taken from the daily Bible reading plan at BibleInAYearOnline.com

The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. - Psalm 23:1 (NLT)

Life can feel overwhelming when challenges come one after another. In Psalm 23, David reminds us that God is not distant or uninvolved. He is our shepherd, guiding, providing, and protecting. Even when the path is uncertain or the trials seem unending, God ensures that we lack nothing we truly need.

This truth is reflected in today’s readings. In Exodus, Pharaoh resists God’s commands, and the Israelites face increasing hardship. Yet God’s plan is unfolding even through the difficulty. Every plague, every confrontation, is part of His greater work of deliverance. In Matthew, Jesus teaches about forgiveness, humility, and dependence on God. The lessons He gives remind us to trust God’s timing and His wisdom, even when circumstances are confusing or hard.

Psalm 23 reassures us that God walks with us through valleys of challenge and moments of uncertainty. He restores our souls and leads us in paths that honor Him. The shepherd’s care is both personal and constant. We are not abandoned or left to figure life out on our own. Trusting Him in the process does not remove difficulty, but it brings peace, confidence, and hope that no challenge is beyond His provision.

Today you may be facing struggles that feel unfair or unending. This verse invites you to remember that God is near. He provides guidance, strength, and sustenance for every step of the journey. When we trust Him, we can rest in the assurance that our needs are known and met.

Reflection Question: Where in your life do you need to trust God to provide and guide you today?

Prayer: Lord, thank You for being my shepherd and for providing everything I need. Help me to trust You in the midst of challenges and to follow Your guidance with confidence. Give me peace and assurance that You are with me every step of the way. In Jesus name, Amen.
