Trust God's Way

Sometimes the hardest thing to say is yes to what we don’t understand. Paul’s journey to Jerusalem wasn’t met with cheers and open arms. Everyone around him saw danger. They begged him not to go. Prophecies even confirmed that suffering awaited. Still, Paul pressed forward, not because he was stubborn, but because he was surrendered.

This moment in Acts captures something deeply powerful: trusting God's will even when it’s not what we would choose. Paul wasn’t chasing hardship. He was simply unwilling to let fear override obedience. His friends finally understood and let go of their need to protect him. “The Lord’s will be done.” It wasn’t resignation, it was trust.

Isn’t that where God invites us too? Into a trust so real that it reshapes how we move forward. We all have places where we feel uncertainty, a big decision, a strained relationship, a future that looks unclear. And in those moments, we might hear wise voices asking us to reconsider, to play it safe, to wait. But sometimes the Holy Spirit speaks louder through our peace than through our plans.

This is not about walking blindly. It’s about walking faithfully. It’s about believing that the God who leads us is also the God who loves us. That even when the path is narrow or uphill, He is there, strengthening us, guiding us, holding us.

When we release our grip on outcomes and say, “Your will be done,” we’re not giving up. We’re giving over, to a God who writes better stories than we ever could.

Reflection Question: Is there a place in your life where God is asking you to trust Him more deeply, even if the road ahead feels uncertain?

Prayer: Father, thank You for loving us enough to lead us, even when we don't always understand where You're taking us. Give us hearts that trust You more than our fears. Help us surrender our plans and rest in Your perfect will, knowing that You are always working for our good. Strengthen our faith and remind us that You never leave our side. In Jesus Name, Amen.
