Top of It All

Isnât it funny how one little thing, like a verse or a song, can stir up a memory from decades ago? That happened to me reading todayâs verse. I suddenly remembered a marketing campaign from the early â80s. Our local NBC affiliate was building what would become one of the tallest TV towers on the East Coast, about 2,000 feet tall. To promote it, they launched this catchy slogan: âSevenâs on top of it all.â It was everywhere, bumper stickers, jingles, commercials. That tower helped them reach an enormous audience, and it still stands today.
That phrase, âon top of it allâ, really hit me. Because as high as that tower was, it doesnât even come close to the height of something we have access to every single day: the unfailing love and faithfulness of God.
Psalm 108:4 tells us that Godâs love is higher than the heavens, and His faithfulness reaches to the clouds. In other words, itâs beyond anything we can build, imagine, or outgrow. We donât have to climb to reach it. His love comes down to us, steady, sure, and always more than enough.
So when life feels heavy, when challenges start stacking up, or when you feel like youâre slipping into the low places, remember this: Godâs love puts you back on top of it all. Not because of anything you did to earn it, but because thatâs just who He is, a faithful, loving Father who never runs out of grace.
Reflection Question: Is there an area in your life right now where you need to remember that Godâs love and faithfulness are bigger and higher than what youâre facing?
Prayer: Father, thank You that Your love never fails and Your faithfulness never ends. When life tries to pull me down, remind me that Youâve already lifted me up in Christ. Help me rest in that truth today. In Jesus Name, Amen.
