Faithfulness Through the Journey

“But God was with him…” Acts 7:9 (NLT)

Joseph’s story is one of the most powerful examples of God's faithfulness through challenging times. In Acts 7, Stephen reminds us of Joseph’s journey, a journey that included betrayal, hardship, and years of waiting. Yet through all of it, one thing remained constant: God was with him.

Can you imagine being in Joseph’s shoes? One moment, you’re your father’s favorite, and the next, you’re thrown into a pit, sold into slavery, and falsely accused of a crime you didn’t commit. If anyone had a reason to question God’s plan, it was Joseph. Yet, through every twist and turn, God's presence never left him. And because of that, Joseph didn’t just survive; he thrived in ways he couldn’t have imagined.

The same God, who was with Joseph, is with us. Life may not always go the way we plan. We may face unexpected detours or find ourselves in situations that feel beyond our control. But like Joseph, we can hold on to the truth that God is with us in every season. He uses even the hard moments to shape us, grow our character, and prepare us for what’s ahead.

Joseph didn’t know what the future held, but he trusted God’s faithfulness. He knew that God was working behind the scenes, even when things didn’t make sense. And in the end, God used everything Joseph went through to bring him to a place of greater purpose and impact.

Reflection Question: How can you embrace God's faithfulness in your current journey, trusting that He is with you every step of the way?

Prayer: Father, thank You for being with me, through every season of my life. Help me to trust Your timing and Your plan, even when I can’t see the full picture. Thank You for Your constant presence. In Jesus’ name, amen.
