The Witness

“For you are to be his witness, telling everyone what you have seen and heard.” — Acts 22:15 (NLT)

We all love a good story, especially one that’s real. A story that shows someone’s life turned around, a second chance given, a fresh start found. That’s what makes testimonies so powerful. They’re not polished sermons or theological debates. They’re just honest stories of what God has done. And nothing speaks louder than a life transformed by grace.

Paul had a dramatic story. He went from persecuting Christians to preaching the very message he once tried to silence. That turn-around didn’t just give him a mission, it gave him credibility. People listened because he had been there. He knew both sides. He wasn’t just talking about Jesus. He had encountered Him. And that encounter changed everything.

Your story matters in the same way. It doesn’t have to be dramatic or public. Maybe you were raised in church. Maybe you wandered far and found your way home. Maybe you’re still walking through it. Whatever it looks like, the fact that Jesus is working in your life makes your story one worth sharing.

The beauty of grace is that it’s not reserved for the “fixed-up.” It meets us right where we are and invites us to be a witness, not of how good we are, but of how faithful He is. Every moment of peace in chaos, every answer to prayer, every unexpected provision is a piece of your testimony.

So ask the Holy Spirit today to open a door. He knows exactly who needs to hear your story. And He’ll give you the words when the time comes. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to be willing to tell what you’ve seen and heard.

Reflection Question: Who in your life needs to hear your story of what Jesus has done?

Prayer: Holy Spirit, thank You for the story You are writing in my life. Give me courage and wisdom to share it with those around me. Help me to be a faithful witness of Your love and grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
