Speak
Todayâs key verse is taken from the daily Bible reading plan at BibleInAYearOnline.com
That same day the LORD said to Moses, 'Go to Moab, to the mountains east of the river, and climb Mount Nebo, which is across from Jericho. Look out across the land of Canaan, the land I am giving to the people of Israel as their own special possession.' -Deuteronomy 32:48-49 (NLT)
Imagine spending your life encouraging people toward a promise, only to reach the edge of it yourself, just to see it, but not step into it. That was Mosesâ story. After leading the Israelites for 40 years, God took him up Mount Nebo, a place whose name literally means âprophet,â to glimpse the land he had spoken about for so long.
And thatâs exactly what prophets do, they speak what God shows them, even if they don't see it fully come to pass themselves. But here's the good news for us today: while not all of us are called to be prophets in the official sense, we are called to speak God's Word into our lives and the world around us.
Speaking Godâs Word isnât about wishful thinking or saying magic words. Itâs about coming into agreement with what God has already said and aligning our faith with His truth. Whether itâs declaring peace over your anxious heart, speaking healing over a loved one, or reminding yourself of Godâs promises in a tough season, your words matter.
Proverbs 18:21 says, âThe tongue has the power of life and deathâŚâ What we say shapes atmospheres. It builds up or tears down. And when we speak His Word in faith, we invite Heaven into our situation.
So today, donât underestimate your voice. Let it echo Godâs truth. You never know whose âPromised Landâ you might be pointing toward.
Reflection Question: Is there one area in your life where you need to start speaking Godâs Word instead of your worries?
Prayer: Lord, thank You for the power of Your Word. Help me to speak life, not fear, over my circumstances. Give me boldness to declare Your promises and trust that Youâre working, even when I donât see it yet. In Jesus Name, Amen.
