Shake It Off, Together

Sometimes that heaviness just sneaks up on us, no obvious reason, just a cloud hanging around. I recently had one of those moments. Life was good, work was going well, family was healthy, but that strange heaviness lingered.

Instead of keeping it inside, I called a close friend. We talked and realized we both had been feeling that same thing. God used that moment to bring light to what the enemy wanted hidden.

The enemy loves to isolate us, to keep struggles in the dark where they grow. But when we bring those feelings into the light, when we talk to someone who reminds us of truth, the heaviness breaks.

Jesus promises that where two or more gather in His name, He is there. His presence brings peace and clears the fog. You don’t have to carry your struggles alone.

Reflection Question: Who is one person you can be real with this week so you don’t carry your struggles alone?

Prayer: Jesus, thank You that I don’t have to carry anything in silence. Help me to reach out and be honest when something feels off. Thank You for placing people in my life who will remind me of truth and encourage my heart. Fill me with Your light today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
