Safe in His Hands
From Today’s One Year Bible Reading Plan at BibleInAYearOnline.com
I took my troubles to the Lord; I cried out to him, and he answered my prayer. - Psalm 120:1 (NLT)
There is something so comforting about being able to be real with God. Not polished, not filtered, not dressed up with the right words. Just real. That is what the psalmist did. He had trouble and he did not carry it alone. He brought it straight to the Lord. He cried out, and God listened.
We all have moments where everything feels like too much, the pressure, the noise, the weight of things we cannot control. Maybe you have been there lately. Maybe your heart feels tired or your thoughts have been loud. It is easy to feel like you have to figure it all out or keep it together for everyone else. But here is what this verse reminds us: You do not have to carry it alone.
God is not annoyed by your cries. He is not overwhelmed by your emotions. He is not distant from your situation. He is close, attentive, and responsive. He hears every whispered prayer and every loud cry. He knows what you are facing, and He knows how to walk you through it.
When you turn to Him, you are not showing weakness, you are showing faith. When you bring your trouble to Him, you are not burdening Him, you are trusting Him. And that trust is never misplaced.
So wherever you are today, whatever is heavy, whatever feels out of reach, bring it to the Lord. Cry out like the psalmist did. Let God meet you right in the middle of it. He has not changed. He still answers.
Reflection Question: What burden have you been carrying that God is inviting you to bring to Him today?
Prayer: Lord, thank You that I can come to You just as I am. Thank You that You hear me when I cry out and that You care about every detail. Help me trust You more and let go of what I cannot fix. Thank You for being near. In Jesus’ name, amen.
