Rolled Away

Today’s key verse is taken from the daily Bible reading plan at BibleInAYearOnline.com

But as they arrived, they looked up and saw that the stone, which was very large, had already been rolled aside. - Mark 16:4 (NLT)

Imagine the scene. Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome are on their way to the tomb, filled with sorrow and love. They are focused on one thing: anointing Jesus' body, ensuring He gets the proper burial. But there’s a problem. A massive stone blocks the entrance, an obstacle that seems insurmountable. They wonder how they will ever move it. With their hearts full of grief and their minds racing with doubt, the obstacle seems to be a dead end.

But when they arrive, they look up and see something amazing, the stone has already been rolled away. There are no guards, no Roman seal, and no hindrances. The very thing they feared, the obstacle that seemed too big, had already been removed by God.

Is there something in your life today that seems impossible to overcome? Maybe it's a challenge at work, a relationship strain, or a personal struggle. Like the women, you may be feeling helpless in the face of a great obstacle. But God’s power is not limited by what we can see or understand. He is faithful to move the stones in our lives in ways we can’t anticipate.

Just as God moved the stone for the women, He is more than able to clear the way for you to fulfill His purpose in your life. The key is to keep moving forward in faith, trusting that He will remove what stands in your way. God does not leave us to handle the impossible alone. He is with us, and He will make a way.

Reflection Question: Is there any obstacles you are facing today, and how can you trust God to move them out of the way?

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your faithfulness in clearing the way when obstacles seem insurmountable. Help me trust that You are at work even when I can’t see it. Give me the courage to keep moving forward, knowing that You are making a way. In Jesus Name, Amen.
