Protected with Purpose

But I know the Lord will help those they persecute. He will give justice to the poor. - Psalm 140:12 (NLT)

You can draw strength today knowing you are not alone in the fight. Life brings moments where you feel pressed, misunderstood, or even attacked, but God is not distant in those moments. He steps in with help. He surrounds with protection. He stands as your defender.

Psalm 140 is a raw and honest cry for help, and yet right in the middle of all the struggle David says, I know the Lord will help. That kind of confidence only comes from walking with God and watching Him come through time and time again. David had faced enemies before. He had been pursued and betrayed, but he also had learned that God always keeps His promise to protect His own.

Revelation 12 paints a bigger picture of that same truth. It shows a spiritual battle far beyond what we see day to day. There is an enemy who wants to destroy what God has placed in you, but he cannot win. Verse 11 tells us that those who follow Jesus overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. That means the victory is already settled in Jesus, and when you stand in that truth, the enemy cannot shake you.

God does not just protect you to keep you safe. He protects you because you carry purpose. You were made for more than just survival. You were made to live in the confidence of someone who knows they are covered by grace and led by a faithful God.

So take heart today. No matter what comes against you, God is greater. His justice will stand. His help is sure.

Reflection Question: Where do you need to be reminded that God is fighting for you? Is there a situation where you feel overwhelmed or attacked?

Prayer: Lord, thank You for being my protector and my help. When I feel overwhelmed or attacked, remind me that You are with me and fighting for me. Help me to trust You fully and stand strong in Your grace. Cover me with Your purpose, and fill me with peace that comes from knowing You are in control. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
