Made Well

Today’s key verse is taken from the daily Bible reading plan at BibleInAYearOnline.com

Then he told her, ‘For such a reply, you may go. The demon has left your daughter.’ - Mark 7:29 (NLT)

There is something powerful about a desperate faith that refuses to give up. In Mark 7, a Gentile woman approaches Jesus on behalf of her daughter. She was not part of the covenant people of Israel. She had no religious standing to lean on. All she had was a need and a bold belief that Jesus could do something about it.

At first, the conversation seems challenging. Jesus tests her understanding and persistence. But she does not withdraw. She does not argue. She responds with humility and confidence. She believes that even a crumb of His power is enough. And it is.

When Jesus tells her that her daughter is free, we see a picture of true salvation at work.

The word used throughout the New Testament for saved speaks of being rescued, healed, delivered, and restored. It is not partial. It is not hesitant. It is complete. This mother came asking for one thing, but what she received was the transforming intervention of God.

This is the beauty of salvation. It crosses boundaries. It reaches beyond labels. It responds to faith. The woman was outside the expected circle, yet she was seen. She was heard. Her daughter was made whole.

Sometimes we feel like outsiders. We may think our past disqualifies us or our need is too complicated. But Jesus is not limited by background or status. He responds to trust. He meets us in desperation. He brings freedom into situations that feel impossible.

Today, whatever you are carrying, bring it to Him with confidence. Even what seems small to you matters to Him. His saving power is not reserved for a select few. It is available to all who come in faith. And when He moves, He restores completely.

Reflection Question: What situation in your life feels impossible right now, and how can you bring it to Jesus with bold faith?

Prayer: Jesus, thank You that You see me and respond to faith. I bring my needs to You today, trusting that Your power is more than enough. Move in the areas that feel beyond my control and bring Your restoring touch. I believe You are able. In Jesus name, Amen.
