Living In Integrity
Better to be poor and honest than to be a fool and dishonest. — Proverbs 19:1 (NLT)
In a world that often values success and status above all, Proverbs 19:1 reminds us that honesty and integrity are worth far more than wealth or recognition. Integrity means being true to who we are and honoring God in every decision, no matter the circumstances.
Paul’s journey in Acts 28 ends on the island of Malta, where despite shipwreck, imprisonment, and persecution, he remains faithful to God’s call. Paul doesn’t seek fame or personal gain; he serves, heals, and preaches with a heart fully committed to God. His life shows us how living with integrity is essential, even in tough situations.
God values honesty and faithfulness, and He sees our choices, whether public or private. Living with integrity means doing right, even when no one is watching, trusting God to honor our obedience. Though the world may not always notice, God promises to bless those who walk in truth and reflect His character.
Reflection Question: How can you choose integrity in your daily life, especially when faced with difficult decisions?
Prayer: Lord, thank You for reminding me that integrity is more valuable than wealth or recognition. Help me to live each day with honesty, honoring You in all I do. Give me the strength and courage to make choices that reflect Your character and bring glory to Your name. In Jesus name, Amen.
