Let Him Move It
Today’s key verse is taken from the daily Bible reading plan at BibleInAYearOnline.com
They found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. - Luke 24:2
Imagine this: Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome were on a mission. They had one thing in mind, taking care of Jesus’ body, doing what they could for Him in His death. But as they were walking to the tomb, they realized there was a huge problem: a massive stone blocking the entrance, and it was far too big for them to move on their own. On top of that, there were Roman soldiers guarding it, making it feel like an impossible task.
But when they arrived, to their surprise, the stone had already been rolled away. The tomb was empty, and an angel told them Jesus had risen. What seemed like an insurmountable obstacle was already handled by God.
We all have moments where it feels like there’s a massive stone in our way. Maybe it’s a big decision, a dream God has placed in your heart, or a situation that seems impossible to overcome. But here’s the thing, just like with these women, it’s not our job to move the stone. Our part is to keep walking forward in faith. God will take care of the rest.
So, today, think about what obstacles you might be facing. Are you trying to move the stone by yourself? It’s okay to admit it’s too big for you. When we trust God and keep moving forward, He’ll do the heavy lifting for us.
Reflection Question: Is there something in your life that feels impossible right now? If so, how can you trust God to handle it as you keep moving forward in faith?
Prayer: God, thank You for always making a way when I feel stuck. Help me to trust You with the obstacles in my life and give me the strength to keep moving forward. I know You’ll handle it. In Jesus Name, Amen.
