Joy Is Coming Back

From Today’s One Year Bible Reading Plan at BibleInAYearOnline.com

Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy. - Psalm 126:5 (NLT)

There are seasons that feel long and heavy. Seasons where you keep showing up, keep praying, keep trusting, but the results feel slow or hidden. It is not that you don’t believe in God’s goodness. It’s just hard to feel it when everything around you feels uncertain or stuck.

But God sees every tear. He sees every step of faith you take in quiet places. He sees the moments you choose to love when it would be easier to shut down. He sees the prayers you pray when no one else is listening. None of it is wasted.

Psalm 126 is a reminder that God is not just the God of the harvest. He is the God who walks with you while you are still planting in the dark, and His promise is clear. What you sow in tears will not stay buried, it will grow. It will bloom. It will return to you in ways only He could orchestrate.

That does not mean everything will look perfect right away, but it does mean joy is on the way. And it will not just be a quiet kind of joy. It will be the kind that makes you shout. The kind that makes you look back and say, only God could have done this.

So keep planting. Keep trusting. Keep walking with Him. The tears you cry in His presence are not a sign of failure. They are seeds, and God knows exactly when and how to bring beauty from them.

Reflection Question: What area of your life feels hard to keep trusting God with, and how can you give it back to Him today?

Prayer: Father, thank You for seeing every tear and every unseen act of faith. Thank You that our pain is not pointless and that joy is coming. Help us keep trusting You, even when we cannot see the harvest yet. In Jesus’ name, amen.
