Hold On To Hope

From Today’s One Year Bible Reading Plan at BibleInAYearOnline.com

Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Hebrews 10:23 (NLT)

Sometimes holding on is the hardest part. You can start out strong with your heart full of faith, your mind focused on truth, and your hands lifted in worship. But then life begins to press in. The days can grow long, the nights can feel heavy, and what once felt so certain begins to shake.

If you have ever found yourself in that place where hope feels distant, you’re not alone. The early believers who received this letter in Hebrews were feeling the pressure too. They had left behind old traditions to follow Jesus and were facing persecution for their faith. It would have been easy for them to let go, to go back, or to give up. But this one sentence speaks with bold encouragement: Hold tightly to your hope because God can be trusted.

What a simple but powerful reminder, God can be trusted. He has never broken a promise. He does not forget what He has spoken. His timing may be different from ours, but His word stands firm. And He sees you. He knows how long you have been waiting and how hard you have been praying. He has not looked away, and He has not left you to figure it out on your own.

So if all you can do today is hold on, that is enough. And not because your grip is strong, but because the One you are holding onto will never let go of you.

Reflection Question: What is one area in your life where you need to hold tightly to the hope of God’s promise?

Prayer: Father, thank You for being faithful. Thank You for always keeping Your promises. Help me to hold onto hope even when I don’t see the answer yet. Strengthen my faith and remind me that You are near. I choose to trust You today. In Jesus’ name, amen.
