He Knows and Still Invites
From Today’s One Year Bible Reading Plan at BibleInAYearOnline.com
Who but God goes up to heaven and comes back down? Who holds the wind in his fists? Who wraps up the oceans in his cloak? Who has created the whole wide world? What is his name, and his son’s name? Tell me if you know. - Proverbs 30:4 (NLT)
This verse from Proverbs has a way of making you stop and reflect. It reminds us that we serve a God who is unmatched in power, completely beyond our understanding, yet intimately involved in our lives. He holds the wind and the oceans. He created the world.
And still, He invites us to know Him. That is both humbling and incredibly comforting.
Sometimes, life feels a bit too big. The unknowns, the fears, the noise around us can feel overwhelming. Maybe you have had moments where you wonder if God sees you. If He truly cares about your everyday concerns. The answer is yes. The same God who commands the galaxies is also the God who listens when you whisper a prayer in the middle of the night.
Micah reminds us of this too. Even in the midst of warnings and judgment, God’s heart is always calling His people back. He is not just a righteous judge. He is a faithful Father. He longs to restore, to heal, and to bring peace. His greatness is not something that puts distance between us. It is what makes His nearness that much more beautiful.
So today, let your heart rest in this truth. You do not have to figure it all out. You do not have to carry the weight of the world. The One who formed it all is holding you too. And He is inviting you to trust Him more deeply, walk with Him more closely, and know Him more fully.
Reflection Question: Where in your life do you need to lean into God’s greatness and trust His heart?
Prayer: Lord, thank You for being powerful and personal. Help me to rest in Your greatness and trust that You are with me in every detail. Let my heart stay close to Yours and my faith grow deeper every day. In Jesus name, Amen.
