Guaranteed Increase
Todayâs key verse is taken from the daily Bible reading plan at BibleInAYearOnline.com
The master was full of praise. âWell done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Letâs celebrate together!' - Matthew 25:21 (NLT)
In a world obsessed with high returns and low risk, itâs rare to find a guaranteed investment. But Jesus, the ultimate teacher, revealed a principle in Matthew 25 that promises just that, a guaranteed increase. In the Parable of the Talents, three servants are entrusted with their masterâs wealth. Two invest what theyâre given, and both see a full return. The third, out of fear, hides his gift and ends up losing even that.
This story isnât just about money, itâs about stewardship. God has entrusted each of us with talents, time, opportunities, and resources. When we use them faithfully, with hearts aimed at His glory, He brings increase, not always financially, but in influence, purpose, joy, and responsibility. Thatâs Kingdom economics.
Notice that the first two servants didnât compare what they were given. One had five talents, the other two, but both received the same praise: âWell done, good and faithful servant.â The amount wasnât the issue, their faithfulness was.
God is not asking for perfection; Heâs asking for participation. When you offer what you have, your voice, your creativity, your encouragement, your leadership, He blesses it and multiplies it. The increase is His to bring; the faithfulness is ours to give.
Let today be a reminder: nothing invested in Godâs hands is ever wasted. Whether big or small, what you sow in faith will grow in grace.
Reflection Question: What is one gift or opportunity God has given you that you can begin to invest more intentionally today?
Prayer: Lord, thank You for entrusting me with gifts, abilities, and opportunities. Help me to use them wisely and faithfully, not in fear, but in full trust of Your promise to bring increase. Teach me to live with open hands and a willing heart. In Jesus Name, Amen.
