Grace to Stay True
From Today’s One Year Bible Reading Plan at BibleInAYearOnline.com
But Daniel was determined not to defile himself by eating the food and wine given to them by the king. So he asked the chief official for permission not to eat these unacceptable foods. - Daniel 1:8 (NLT)
Sometimes standing strong feels like stepping into a fire. Daniel, in a foreign land, faced pressure to conform, but he chose obedience over comfort. He trusted God enough to ask for a different way, even when it seemed risky. That quiet courage changed everything. Because of his faithfulness, Daniel and his friends were blessed and strengthened in ways no one expected.
Peter encourages us in 1 Peter to have that same resolve. When we embrace Christ’s mindset, we’re ready to face challenges without giving in to easy shortcuts or distractions. Grace gives us strength to stand firm and peace in the struggle.
Your faithfulness in small choices matters. God is with you, empowering you to walk in integrity and boldness even when it’s hard. Today, lean into His grace and trust that He will bless your obedience.
Reflection Question: What is one small way you can choose faithfulness today, even when it’s challenging?
Prayer: Lord, thank You for the example of Daniel and for Your promise to strengthen me when I choose to honor You. Help me to stand firm in faith and to trust You in every circumstance. Fill me with courage and grace to live for You today. In Jesus’ name, amen.
