God Sees
Today’s key verse is taken from the daily Bible reading plan at BibleInAYearOnline.com
I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. - Exodus 3:7 (NLT)
God notices what we often think goes unseen. In Exodus 2 and 3, the Israelites are suffering under harsh oppression, and God reveals that He has seen their misery. This verse reminds us that nothing escapes His attention, He sees every struggle, hears every cry, and cares deeply about the pain we endure.
Even when life feels unfair or overwhelming, God’s awareness is our comfort. He does not wait for the perfect moment to act or ignore the small details of our lives. His concern is personal and active. Just as He called Moses to be the instrument of freedom for His people, He calls each of us to trust Him in the midst of challenges, knowing He is already at work.
This same truth is reflected throughout today’s readings. In Matthew, Jesus provides instruction and correction to His disciples, showing that God’s guidance is available even when we misunderstand or struggle. Psalm 22 expresses anguish, yet it also demonstrates trust that God’s care is constant. All these passages point to a God who is intimately involved in the lives of His people.
Today you may feel invisible, overlooked, or burdened by circumstances that seem too big to manage. This verse invites you to remember that God sees you. He is attentive to your struggles, and His plans for redemption and restoration are at work even when you cannot yet see them.
Reflection Question: What area of your life do you need to remember God is actively watching and caring for today?
Prayer: Lord, thank You for seeing me and caring about every detail of my life. Help me to trust Your timing and Your plan, even when I cannot yet understand it. Strengthen my faith and remind me that I am never alone because You are always present. In Jesus name, Amen.
