God Is Still Holding You
From Today’s One Year Bible Reading Plan at BibleInAYearOnline.com
And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. - 1 John 5:14 (NLT)
Life can feel like a constant wave of pressures and unexpected moments. Some days you look back and honestly wonder how you made it through. The weight was real. The confusion was thick. The answers were few. But here you are. Still standing. Still breathing. Still held.
That is not by accident. That is the faithfulness of a God who hears you. Even when your prayers are quiet or messy or unsure. Even when your thoughts are scattered. Even when all you can say is, “God, help me.”
John reminds us that we can pray with confidence. Not because we have the perfect words, but because we have a perfect Savior. God is not distant. He is near. And He listens. He hears every word you speak. Every cry of your heart. Every silent hope.
Sometimes it takes looking back to see just how present He was. He was there when the door unexpectedly opened. He was there when the strength showed up just in time. He was there when the peace came in the middle of the storm.
The same God who brought you through before is still working now. He is still for you. He is still listening. And He is still faithful. So keep asking. Keep trusting. Keep coming to Him with confidence.
He hears you. And He is not done writing your story.
Reflection Question: What prayer have you been hesitant to bring to God that He is inviting you to pray with confidence today?
Prayer: Father, thank You that You always hear us. Even when we feel unsure or weak, You’re near and You’re listening. Help us to pray with confidence, knowing that You are good and that You care about every detail. Let our confidence rest in who You are, not in our own strength. In Jesus’ name, amen.
