God’s Got You Covered
Today’s key verse is taken from the daily Bible reading plan at BibleInAYearOnline.com
He said to them, ‘When I sent you without purse, bag, or sandals, did you lack anything?’ ‘Nothing,’ they answered. - Luke 22:35
You know those moments when you’re about to step into something new, and you feel totally unprepared? Maybe it’s a big move, a job change, or even just starting a new project, and you’re like, “I don’t know how this is going to work, but I have to do it anyway.” I think we all have those moments of doubt, right?
But here’s the thing: Jesus knew exactly how His disciples felt. He had sent them out before with nothing, no extra cash, no bag to carry their stuff, not even a spare pair of shoes, and they still came back fine. He’s reminding them that when they trusted Him and stepped out, they didn’t lack anything. God had their back.
Sometimes, I think we get caught up in feeling like we need everything figured out before we take the next step. We want to have all the answers, all the resources, and the perfect plan. But what Jesus is saying here is: You don’t need all of that. If you trust Me, I’ve got you covered.
In life, it’s easy to feel like we need to have it all together to succeed. But really, God is more concerned about our trust in Him than our own preparation. He’s the one who fills in the gaps when we feel like we’re running on empty.
Reflection Question: Is there one thing you’re worrying about right now that you could hand over to God, trusting He’ll take care of it?
Prayer: Hey God, thanks for always being there, even when I feel unprepared or unsure. Help me remember that You’ve got me covered, and I don’t have to do it all alone. I trust You to provide what I need, whenever I need it. In Jesus Name, Amen.
