Fully Known and Fully Loved
From Todayâs One Year Bible Reading Plan at BibleInAYearOnline.com
O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. - Psalm 139:1 (NLT)
There is something incredibly freeing about being fully known and still fully loved. That is exactly what Psalm 139 shows us. God does not just glance at our lives from a distance. He sees it all. Every thought. Every motive. Every high and every low. And still, He stays. Still, He loves.
Sometimes we try to hide pieces of ourselves. We polish up the outside and tuck away the struggles. But God is not looking for perfection. Heâs looking for honesty. When we come to Him just as we are, He meets us with mercy and surrounds us with grace.
David, the psalmist, didnât have a perfect life. He had regrets. He faced battles. But he also knew with deep certainty that Godâs presence was constant. Whether he was on the mountaintop or in the valley, God was near. Not to condemn him, but to lead him. Not to shame him, but to shape him.
Haggaiâs message echoes a similar truth. The people had become distracted and discouraged, stopped building what God asked. But instead of turning away, God encouraged them to be strong and keep going. His Spirit was with them. Thatâs what grace does, it calls us back, not with guilt, but with love and purpose.
Today, you donât need to perform for God. You just need to be present with Him. He already knows you, and He loves you anyway. Let that truth be your peace and your strength.
Reflection Question: What would it look like for you to be completely honest with God about where youâre really at? Is there a part of you youâve been holding back?
Prayer: Lord, thank You for knowing every part of me and loving me just as I am. Help me to stop hiding and start resting in Your presence. Lead me in the way that brings You glory and fills me with peace. May I always remember that Your love is steady and enough. In Jesusâ name, Amen.
