Flow In The Glow
You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever. — Psalm 16:11 (NLT)
Have you ever encountered someone whose presence just lit up the room? It’s not about their clothes or their charisma; it’s a light that radiates from within. I had the privilege of experiencing this in a way I’ll never forget when I visited India. As I stepped off the plane, I was overwhelmed by the dark and chaotic surroundings. It was as if I was stepping into a world void of light. But then I saw them, a group of young Indian nationals sent by the mission to pick us up from the airport. I didn’t know them, yet I knew immediately that they were believers. It wasn’t their appearance; it wasn’t their words, it was the glow in their faces. They carried something with them, something that the rest of the world around them didn’t have. It was the unmistakable presence of God.
In Exodus 33:15, Moses says, “For your presence among us sets your people and me apart from all other people on the earth.” It wasn’t the people of Israel that stood out; it was the presence of God among them that made them different. The same is true for us today. It’s not our church attendance, our knowledge of Scripture, or even our good works that set us apart. It’s the presence of God in our lives that causes us to glow, to radiate His love and light.
The more time we spend with God, the more His presence transforms us. Just like Moses whose face shone after being with God (Exodus 34:29), we too carry His light. So today, let’s make room for His presence in our lives. As we bask in it, we too will “flow in the glow” that only His presence can bring.
Reflection Question: How can you make more room for God’s presence in your day-to-day life?
Prayer: Lord, thank You for the gift of Your presence in my life. Help me to be mindful of Your nearness, to seek You more, and to carry Your light wherever I go. Let Your presence shine through me, bringing glory to You. In Jesus name, Amen.
