Fighting For You
Todayâs key verse is taken from the daily Bible reading plan at BibleInAYearOnline.com
The Lord is a warrior; Yahweh is his name! - Exodus 15:3 (NLT)
Pharaoh thought he was invincible. As ruler of Egypt and commander of the worldâs most powerful army, he likely believed the Red Sea had parted for himânot realizing he was walking into a trap. But he soon discovered the truth. As confusion overwhelmed his soldiers, wheels jammed, and chaos erupted, even Pharaoh had to admit defeat: âThe Lord is fighting for them against Egypt!â (Exodus 14:25).
That same God, Yahweh, the Warrior, fights for you and me today.
Sometimes, in the midst of spiritual battles, heartbreak, or overwhelming stress, itâs easy to feel alone. It may seem like the opposition is too great and the waves are too high. But the truth remains: you are never alone. God is not a distant observer, He is an active Defender. He steps into our battles, both seen and unseen, and wars on our behalf.
There are moments we can clearly recognize His hand at work, when He opens a door that no man can shut, protects us from harm, or grants peace in chaos. But what about the countless times He fought for us and we never even knew it? How many unseen dangers has He shielded us from? How many attacks has He deflected before they could reach us?
Exodus 15 is a song of victory, a declaration that our God doesnât sit idly by. He leads, defends, and overcomes. Today, take heart in knowing that Yahweh, the Warrior, is actively fighting for you. You donât have to win the battle alone. You never have.
Reflection Question: Can you recall a time when you realized God was fighting for you? How can that reminder strengthen your faith in todayâs battle?
Prayer: Father, thank You for fighting for me, even when I donât see it. Remind me daily that You are my Defender and that I can rest in Your protection. Help me to trust You in every battle. In Jesus name, Amen.
