Even If
From Todayâs One Year Bible Reading Plan at BibleInAYearOnline.com
So we can say with confidence, âThe Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?' - Hebrews 13:6 (NLT)
There is something powerful about a heart that says, âGod, I trust You even if it all falls apart.â Even if the answer takes longer than I hoped. Even if the fire gets hotter.Even if the outcome does not look the way I wanted. That kind of faith gets heavenâs attention.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were not being dramatic. The fire was real. The threat was real. But so was their trust. They didnât flinch. They didnât beg. They didnât try to negotiate their way out. They stood firm and answered the king with calm and confidence:Â âOur God is able. He will deliver us. But even if He doesnât, we are not bowing.â
That kind of courage doesnât come from hype or willpower. It comes from knowing the God who walks into fire, the One who never leaves, and the One who can be trusted with the outcome even when itâs unclear.
The Lord is your helper. Thatâs not just a nice phrase to frame on a wall. Itâs truth you can stand on when life turns up the heat. When people misunderstand you. When culture demands your compromise. When you feel alone in your stand.
You are not alone. Jesus didnât just meet them on the other side of the fire. He showed up in it. And He still does.
The enemy may hope the fire takes you out, but God can use it to call others in. The same people who watch you walk through hard things may one day praise God because of how He showed up for you. And because of your example, theyâll trust Him âeven ifâ too.
Reflection Question: What situation in your life right now is calling for âeven ifâ faith instead of âonly ifâ faith?
Prayer: Jesus, thank You for being my helper and my hope. Give me a faith that stands even when itâs hard. Remind me that You are with me in every fire and that I never stand alone. I trust You with the outcome, and I worship You for who You are. In Jesusâ name, amen.
