Divine Receipt

Local online shopping is becoming more popular these days. With just a few clicks online, an order is placed, and once paid for, a barcode is sent, your electronic receipt. That receipt is your guarantee. When you pull up to your specially marked parking spot, upon showing your receipt, your order is conveniently loaded for you.

In the same way, Jesus taught His disciples in Mark 11 that faith is our Divine Receipt. When we ask in prayer, believing we have received it, Heaven begins preparing the delivery. Faith doesn’t wait until something shows up to believe it's real, faith believes at the moment of asking. Just like that barcode proves your purchase before you ever touch the item, your faith is proof that what you’ve asked for is already yours in the spiritual realm.

Jesus didn’t tell us to wait and see before believing. He said believe first, speak in faith, and trust that God will deliver. This isn’t wishful thinking, it’s rooted in confidence in God’s character and His promises. Hebrews 11:1 says, “Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.”

So today, don’t let doubt steal your expectation. If you’ve prayed in faith, you already hold the divine receipt in your heart. Even if there’s a delay, don’t give up, your answer is on its way.

Reflection Question: Are you holding onto your “Divine Receipt,” confidently believing God is bringing the answer, even before you see it?

Prayer: Father, thank You for the gift of faith that connects me to Your promises. Help me believe and receive with boldness, trusting that You are faithful to deliver all You have said. In Jesus name, amen.
