Covered and Kept

From Today’s One Year Bible Reading Plan at BibleInAYearOnline.com

For the Lamb on the throne will be their Shepherd. He will lead them to springs of life-giving water. And God will wipe every tear from their eyes. - Revelation 7:17 (NLT)

There is something so tender about this verse. Jesus, the Lamb on the throne, is not distant or removed. He is personal. He is close. He is both King and Shepherd, and He knows exactly what your heart needs.

Life brings moments of joy and moments that leave us feeling dry, worn out, or even broken. But this verse reminds us that Jesus leads us to places of refreshing. He does not push us to perform. He gently leads us to rest and wholeness. When we are hurting, He does not ignore it. He wipes every tear. That is His heart for you.

Micah gives us a glimpse of that same faithfulness. Even when God’s people had gone their own way, He promised a Shepherd who would rise up in strength and bring lasting peace. That promise pointed straight to Jesus. The One who would come not just to rescue but to restore.

So wherever you are today, know this. You are not forgotten. You are not too far gone. You are not too weak. You are covered by grace and kept by love. The Shepherd is still leading. The tears you have cried are not wasted. He sees them and He will bring you to living water again. Not just someday in heaven, but even now as you walk with Him.

Let your heart breathe in that truth. You are loved by the Lamb. You are guided by the Shepherd. And He is not letting you go.

Reflection Question: Where do you need Jesus to lead you to life-giving water today?

Prayer: Jesus, thank You for being both the Lamb and my Shepherd. Thank You for leading me with gentleness and love. Refresh my heart today and help me to rest in Your presence. Wipe my tears and remind me that I am never alone. In Jesus name, Amen.
