And the one sitting on the throne said, ‘Look, I am making everything new.’ And then he said to me, ‘Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true. - Revelation 21:5

The thought of a new beginning stirs the heart. A fresh page. A clean start. And as we near the end of the year, many of us are looking back while also looking ahead. In Revelation 21, God gives us a powerful reminder that He is the One who makes all things new.

This is not just about a new calendar year. This is about the deep renewal that only God can do. He speaks into broken places and brings healing. He steps into what feels worn out and breathes life. He doesn’t just patch up the old; He makes all things new. Completely new.

John’s vision in Revelation is full of beauty. A new Heaven and a new Earth. No more tears. No more death. No more sorrow or pain. And at the center of it all is Jesus. The faithful One. The trustworthy One. The One who finishes what He starts.

Psalm 149 reminds us to praise the Lord with joy. Not because everything is perfect right now, but because we serve a God who is good and victorious. A God who delights in His people. A God who is still making things new.

So as you look ahead to what is coming, hold onto this truth: God is not done. Whatever you have walked through this year, His grace is greater. His plans are still in motion. And His promise to make all things new is not just for someday. It is for you today.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for being the God who makes all things new. Thank You for Your grace that restores and renews. Help me to trust You with what’s ahead and to praise You for what You are doing right now. I believe You are working all things for good. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
