He Will Finish What He Started
From Todayâs One Year Bible Reading Plan at BibleInAYearOnline.com
The Lord will work out his plans for my life, for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever. Donât abandon me, for you made me. - Psalm 138:8 (NLT)
There is something so comforting about knowing that God is not just present in your life, but also deeply involved in the process. He does not just give you a calling and walk away. He stays with you. He keeps shaping you. He finishes what He starts.
Psalm 138 reminds us of this steady truth. The Lord will work out His plans for your life. Not might. Not hopefully. He will. Even when the path gets bumpy or unclear. Even when delays make you second-guess what He said. His faithful love never fades and never forgets.
Zephaniah gives us a similar picture. Even though the people had drifted far, God did not leave them in that place. He promised restoration. He promised joy. He promised to gather and strengthen the weak. That is the heart of God. He sees the broken places and brings beauty. He sees the lost and speaks hope.
If you have ever felt like you missed it, or like too much time has passed, or like the plan must have changed, that's a lie. Take a deep breath. You are not forgotten. God is still at work. His plans are not fragile. His love does not quit. He will finish the work in you because He is faithful and because He made you.
You donât have to force it. You donât have to figure it all out. You just have to stay close, stay surrendered, stay encouraged. The One who began the good work in you will complete it.
Reflection Question: What part of your life do you need to entrust to Godâs faithful hands again? Is there a promise or a dream youâve been holding onto that Heâs calling you to surrender anew?
Prayer: Father, thank You for being a God who finishes what He starts. Help me to trust that You are still working in my life, even when I cannot see the full picture. I entrust every part of my journey into Your faithful hands. Keep me surrendered and encouraged, knowing that You will complete the good work You began. In Jesusâ name, Amen.
